There is a type of poverty called “period poverty”—— poverty caused by women's inability to buy enough sanitary products during their periods due to lack of affordability. According to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), more than 500 million women worldwide live in period poverty.

The “Smile Cloud” public welfare campaign was launched by the Big Tree Cloud Group in 2023, aiming to eliminate menstrual poverty and menstrual shame, and pay as much attention as you and I can to the physical and mental health of adolescent girls in underdeveloped areas, providing equal health protection for these girls during their physiological period.
